I recently had work done on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler at the Green Garage in Birmingham, Alabama, and if it were possible to give this service provider and its staff ten stars, I would do. Matt was incredibly helpful in getting my Jeep serviced quickly and efficiently. He kept me informed with detailed explanations of what needed to be done, accurate and complete estimates of time and materials, updates along the way, and a request for authorization of additional work that I quickly agreed to have done. Towards the end of this process, Chris also became involved, and he was as gracious, resprctful, and helpful as Matt. It was a real pleasure to interact with Matt and Chris, and although I never met the mechanics and technicians who work at the Green Garage, I am willing to bet (based in part upon the quality of their work), that they are skilled and extremely competent workers. I highly recommend the Green Garage.

I was looking at purchasing a vehicle from a a dealership nearby and wanted a pre purchase inspection done. Unfortunately I live about 4 hours away so I had to do all of the coordinating and communication over the phone. The guys at green garage were friendly, patient, and thorough. The inspection was extremely detailed and I felt confident in their assessment. In the end I didn’t end up purchasing the vehicle but I would not hesitate to use this shop again for any of my vehicle needs.

I've been using Green Garage as my regular maintenance garage for a couple of years now, and I've always been pleased. They're very kind, accommodating, and honest. They work quickly and do a great job explaining anything that warrants it. Also want to throw in a shout out to Chris (the owner) and his other company, Auto Key Co. of BHM, for being super kind and working with me to get a key cut & programmed on the fly when I came and picked up my car from the garage after an oil change. Highly recommend Green Garage & Auto Key Co.!

Boy oh boy am I happy to have hired these gentlemen for a pre-purchase inspection! I live 2000 miles away and nearly bought a car sight unseen from a local broker. Luckily the broker was willing to take it to Green Garage for me and they were able to give me an unbiased statement about the health of the vehicle. I love to fly across the country to find unique cars to drive home - a risky hobby that's only possible thanks to professionals like this. Having owned many cars and worked with dozens of shops over the decades, I am especially happy to advocate for Green Garage here. David answered the phone and stepped me through their PPI process. His excellent customer service and communication skills are rare to come across in the automotive industry and I'm very grateful for his accommodation. I didn't speak with the tech, but I'd like to thank him too. My only disappointment is that this shop isn't anywhere near my neighborhood and I doubt i'll have the pleasure of working with them again.

The folks at Green Garage have been my “primary care” mechanics for the past 4 yrs. I know little about cars as machines but they treat me with respect, educate me at a level I can understand, and take good care of my vehicle. Their shop, waiting room, and restroom are immaculately clean. If you need to wait, they provide books/magazines and will make you a cup of coffee. I’m moving to Georgia and hate to leave them behind but guess what—they recommended a mechanic near my new home.

I stopped by to get something done that I thought would take an hour or so to do but they were able to help me in 5 minutes — and when they could’ve charged me off the simple fact that they had to stop what they were doing to assist me, they didn’t. I thought this was very kind of them and reflective of their company culture because everyone was so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. I will be coming back here off of this short interaction alone, and recommending others to them. :)

Short version: this is the shop for you, you're done searching and reading reviews. You found it. Give them a call! I just don't have enough good things to say about Green Garage. We moved to Alabama in 2017 and after bouncing back and forth between several auto shops where we were always trading price, quality, and honest service - we decided to go visit a new shop that had just opened up. What a huge relief it's been! After the first visit there wasn't any doubt we'd found the shop we'll stick with for as long as they'll have us. The owner is a really personable guy who never minces words, and yet still manages to be so incredibly friendly and personable. In fact, everyone I've had the pleasure of working with there has been great and never takes any hesitations with getting to know you and your needs. All of our minor maintenance, and a few major ones, have all been taken care of by Green Garage with zero issue. They'll take the time to discuss quality of parts vs cost if that's important and always make sure to get not just what you want, but what you need. We're so glad to see how successful they've been over the past few years, expanding and remodeling, because this is exactly the kind of business you want to see thrive in your community. They're good people, and I cannot express what a relief it is to have a shop like this in your corner for something as important as your daily driver. Thanks y'all.

These guys did a great job on my car. I typically don't write a review unless I've tried out a service more than once. Green Garage has serviced my car twice now. They've been easy to work with, friendly, and transparent. I typically have trust issues when it comes to car repair companies but I felt extremely comfortable going back to Green Garage. I will continue using them! Also ..it's always good to support local!!!

Our Subaru Forester began making an awful scraping sound from the rear passenger wheel when driving. Everything drove and felt fine but the noise was severe. I walked in not knowing the appointment process. Matt got me scheduled and the customer service was top notch. It turns out it was a tiny rock stuck behind the heat shield. A lesser garage would have sold me a new wheel bearing, at least. I'll be coming back!

Honest. Fair. Friendly. Did I mention honest? Took my son's Chevy 2015 Cruze1.4L LT (whole other story for what a piece that car has been) and they were able to get us in 1st thing Monday. Before lunch, on Monday, they reached out with the bad, but somewhat expected news, head gasket... I've heard of places that may throw parts at a problem to build a bill, that was not the case here. Long story short, their reviews are the best in town for a reason; they are great. We will definitely be back, but definitely not with a Chevy Cruze! :) Thanks Green Garage.
